Access the marina by the lock

From the river, you must pass through a lock to get to the marina. Most of the time, lockages are done on demand everyday from 7 am to 12:30 am (there may be a short delay depending on other ongoing operations).

Please contact the lock keeper directly on VHF channel 71 and remain on the call for the duration of your passage through the lock in order to hear all of the instructions.

Free passage schedule

During free passages, all of the lock doors are open so there is no delay to pass.

  • Ask the lock keeper for permission to pass and identify yourself as well as the name of your boat
  • Only go through when the traffic light is green
  • The free passage schedule is available every week on our Facebook page (no need to have an account to follow the link)
  • At each free passage period, a green rectangular flag is hoisted to the mast of the Marina services station. The scheduled hours are approximate, since the variation of the tide is not always as predicted

Lockages on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (between St-Jean-Baptiste and Labour Day)

  • Reserve 24 hours in advance by calling 418-648-2233 for an outing between 10 am and 2 pm if there is no free passage planned
  • Arrive at the lock gates 10 minutes before the scheduled time and listen for instructions on VHF 71

We also remind you to always:

  • Prepare fenders on both sides in order to be ready to dock either port or starboard side, and to be double-moored if necessary
  • Move to the back to leave maximum space for others
  • Attach the rear mooring line first, taking up all the slack, then attach the front
  • Turn off the engines once securely moored
  • Wait for the light to turn green before unhooking the boat
